Authorities are asking for the public’s help in finding family members for three people who have died in Jefferson County in recent weeks.
No foul play is suspected in any of the deaths, but their bodies are ready to be released for burial and the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office has been unable to locate next of kin to notify them.

Johnnie William Harris, a 72-year-old Black male, was found dead March 29. Birmingham police went to his apartment in the 7700 block of Third Ave South on a welfare check and found him dead just before 7:30 p.m. He died of natural causes. ....

Birmingham: Mayor Randall Woodfin was released from a hospital Wednesday after being treated for COVID-19 and planned to continue recovering from the illness and quarantining at home. Woodfin, 39, was admitted to Princeton Baptist Medical Center on Monday with pneumonia in his left lung caused by COVID-19.
