Washington: Melania Knauss Trump came to her role as first lady as an enigma. No one knew how the former Slovene model who became Donald Trump’s third wife would adapt to the role her predecessor Michelle Obama had redefined.
Even as Melania’s husband ignored the traditions of his predecessors, she at first tried to follow hers after arriving in Washington from New York months after the president: Hiring a staff, talking about child care as the mother of a young son, and finding her own causes while any attention she got tended to be for the designer clothes she wore at eve ....

(WASHINGTON) While President Donald Trump has refused to acknowledge that he lost the election, he’s handling the lame-duck period as his predecessors did in one respect: awarding plum appointments to key allies, donors and friends on his way out of the White House.
Since the election, the White House has announced more than 100 appointments and nominations – some to key administration posts, but also to various advisory boards and commissions, in a practice also done by the Bush and Obama White Houses.
He’s named former White House Counselor Kellyanne Conway to the Air Force Academy Board of Visitors despite having no obvious connection to the school or the military, along with Heidi Stirrup, an administration official recently barred from the Justice Department over claims she pressured officials for information related to election fraud. ....

Melania Trump visited Pine Crest school in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, for Barron 
The 14-year-old is currently in the ninth grade and could possibly attend Pine Crest when his family leaves the White House in January 
The Trump family has also made Mar-a-Lago in their permanent residence 
Pine Crest, which costs $35,000 per year, is about 40 minutes from Mar-a-Lago
