Creative work by Kansas State University creative teams has earned 42 awards from District Vl of the Council for Advancement and Support of Education. 
 
 
MANHATTAN  Work by in-house creative teams to promote and advance Kansas State University to all audiences has been recognized with 42 awards from District VI of the Council for Advancement and Support of Education, or CASE. The university s award haul represents about 25% of the 169 awards given by the district.
CASE awards highlight the best practices in alumni relations, fundraising, public and governmental relations, advancement services, special events and communications. District VI includes educational institution members in Kansas, Colorado, Iowa, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wyoming. ....

WASHINGTON  The podium in the White House Press Briefing Room is the public face of the presidency, and when Joe Biden takes office on Jan. 20 it will look quite different. A few weeks after his election in November, Biden named the first all-female White House communications staff, which includes multiple women of color. It was a milestone for a nascent administration that has prided itself on diversity. 
However, Biden’s briefings will not be the first time a Black woman served as the main voice of the presidency; that moment came in 1991, when Judy Smith stepped behind the podium as a deputy press secretary for President George H.W. Bush. ....
