Australian Charts: Amy Shark 'Cry Forever' Is The Number One Album

The second album for local singer Amy Shark called “Cry Forever” becomes her second No.1 Album in Australia this week.
“Cry Forever” (Wonderlick/Sony) becomes the 915th No.1 Album in Australia (1965 to 2021), the 765th for ARIA (1983 to 2021), the 15th No.1 set for 2021, the 551st to debut at the top and also the second for the record label Wonderlick, as Amy’s debut album “Love Monster” spent a week at No.1 on July 23rd, 2018.

Album of the week: First Time Really Feeling — Triple R 102.7FM, Melbourne Independent Radio

'First Time Really Feeling' is the sixth album from Liz Stringer, an acclaimed artist known among her peers as a ‘songwriter’s songwriter’ and a ‘musician’s musician’. Stringer's skill in roots/rock songcraft was honoured at Woodford Folk Festival in 2019, where she was named an ’emerging legend of Australian song’ by contemporaries such as Jeff Lang, Tim Levinson, Jessie Lloyd and Catherine MacLellan.
Alongside solo albums and countless tours, Stringer has also worked collaboratively with Mia Dyson and Jen Cloher. Together As Dyson, Stringer Cloher they recorded an album at Wilco's Loft in Chicago, and toured nationally.
'First Time Really Feeling' is described as a culmination of the artist's work to date, and presents "a musical time-capsule of love, loss and legacy, profound change and her recent path to self-acceptance." At the midpoint of the album is 'The Metrologist', an extraordinary reckoning with themes of addiction, depression, expectations and sexism.

About this Event
Albany born Joel Jackson is an actor and musician best known for his AACTA and Logie award winning role as Peter Allen, and the recent feature film, H is for Happiness, made in Albany.
Before entering the acting world Joel was performing alongside Australian music greats Daryl Braithwaite, Jon Stevens, Ian Moss and more. While filming around the world, Joel performed twice at Western Australia’s Telethon and at the Western Australia Day celebrations at Elizabeth Quay, three times at the prestigious Western Australia of the Year Awards and all across NSW, blowing away audiences with his electric live stage energy. Now, Joel has captured the vibe on his debut EP, Boy On A Wire. Recorded absolutely live, capturing the stories of a young life spent on the road chasing dreams and fearlessly living on the edge.
