NFL Says Teams Who Have COVID Outbreaks May Have To Forfeit And Give Up Their Pay That Week
July 23, 2021
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The NFL is making its new COVID-19 policy clear: any outbreak among unvaccinated players or staff members will forfeit that week’s game and be credited as a loss if the game can’t be rescheduled during the 18 week season. That’s according to a memo sent to all teams Thursday.
Also, if a game is postponed and cannot be rescheduled, players from both teams will not receive their scheduled salary. The memo also states the team with the outbreak will be responsible for any additional expenses incurred by the opposing team.

Federal Judge Says Indiana University Can Require Its Students Get The COVID Vaccine

WCCB Charlotte's CW
July 20, 2021
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Indiana University’s vaccination requirement for students will stand for the start of the fall semester. This, after a federal judge sided with the university Monday, after eight students challenged the public university’s requirement that all students and employees receive a COVID-19 vaccine before the start of the fall semester.
The university says it added a vaccine requirement as a means to exercise what federal health officials describe as the best way to protect people from contracting the coronavirus.
Meantime, frustration grows at The White House about Facebook not taking the proper steps to control this spread of disinformation. On the company’s website, Facebook’s Vice President of Integrity wrote that President Biden’s goal was for 70 percent of Americans to be vaccinated by July 4th and Facebook is not the reason the goal was missed.

President Biden: Facebook is "Killing People" With Vaccine Misinformation

WCCB Charlotte's CW
July 16, 2021
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Facebook is blaming President Joe Biden for using the social media platform as a scapegoat for the administration not reaching its vaccine goals. It’s in response to Biden’s accusation that Facebook is killing people by allowing vaccine misinformation to spread.
So far, the United States is just shy of having half the population vaccinated against COVID. The President and his administration have blamed misinformation online about vaccine safety for hindering vaccination efforts and prolonging the pandemic.
A reporter asked Biden, “On COVID misinformation. What’s your message to platforms like Facebook?” President Biden replied, “They’re killing people. I mean they’re really…look, the only pandemic we have is among the unvaccinated.”

Breaking Britney News: She Speaks For A 2nd Time In Court, Telling Judge She Wants Her Father Investigated
July 14, 2021
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A major step forward Wednesday in Britney Spears’ fight for freedom. A judge ruled that the singer has the right to hire her own lawyer, after she broke down in tears during the Wednesday hearing, saying she was extremely scared of her father. The ruling is significant, as Spears hasn’t been allowed to pick her own legal representation since the start of her conservatorship in 2008.
Spears’ new lawyer, Mathew Rosengart, spoke publicly on her behalf Wednesday, calling for Britney’s father to step down as her co-conservator. Rosengart says, “We will be moving promptly and aggressively for his removal. The question remains: why is he involved? He should step down voluntarily as that is in the best interest of Britney Spears.”
