Kokrajhar (Assam) [India], March 14 (ANI): Ahead of Assembly elections in Assam, the police have recovered two AK-56 and other weapons from the forest area of Kokrajhar district on Sunday.
A team led by the Superintendent of Police (SP) of Kokrajhara with additional SP, DSP and commandos recovered two AK-56, 29 round bullets, and one revolver from the spot after two hours of a search operation in the forest area of Bishmuri village.
"We received information that weapons are hidden in the Bishmuri area forest. SP of Kokrajhara made a team in which additional SP, DSP went to the spot along with commandos in the forest and carried a search operation around two hours after which we recovered two AK-56, 29 round bullets, and one revolver," said Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), L R Bishnoi.

The Grayson Gallery and Art Center is seeking submissions from women artists for the eighth annual "Women in the Arts" LIVE exhibit.
Women artists are invited to drop off art at the gallery as follows; others, by special invitation, will present work virtually and will be included in the Facebook Album for online viewing.
Dates to drop off art are from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 20 and March 22. Up to three pieces of any subject and any medium will be accepted, gallery director Dan Click said.
"Please, give some thought about issues important to women as you create or choose pieces to display that are ready to display," he said.

Bringing new meaning to digging mushrooms
Doug Bierend’s lively, engaging, and enlightening new book, “In Search of Mycotopia: Citizen Science, Fungi Fanatics, and the Untapped Potential of Mushrooms” (Chelsea Green) initiates readers into the rich world of the mushroom and its multiple powerful uses: as food, medicine, assistors in environmental remediation, a model to how to exist in a more symbiotic and reciprocal way. He establishes what fungi are, in nature and culture, then guides us in to the “mycelium underground” of enthusiasts, farmers, and foragers looking to broaden mushrooms’ uses and appeal. Taurus Model 605 Gun: The Most Affordable Pocket Revolver?


This revolver is small but very mighty.
The Taurus 605 is a prime example of a high-quality “pocket gun.” It’s very small and easy to conceal, yet still packs quite a punch! With an overall length of just 6.5” (and a 2” barrel), it’s much smaller than most other revolvers and shoots with both accuracy and utmost reliability.
It features a stainless steel frame and small stainless steel sights, a fixed ramp in the front and a gutter in the rear. The front sight is serrated very nicely, and both sights are low profile for a cleaner pull. However, their stainless steel finish does make them harder to aim with. Some people may want to switch them out for something like a red dot with a reticle, but unfortunately, there’s not much of an aftermarket for these revolvers. Most people, myself included, opt to just paint them a brighter color for a quicker aim and more accurate shot!
