When someone shows you who they are, believe them the first time." In 14 seasons, Gruden's teams are 23-39 in December after going 32-24 in November. For a multitude of reasons, Gruden has struggled to adapt to teams’ adjustments in the second half of seasons. It is painful to admit, but the evidence suggests Gruden has been an overrated head coach for quite some time. Thus, providing him executive power over personnel decisions and roster construction was a horrendous mistake by Mark Davis. In particular (and the focus of this tirade), Gruden’s infatuation with tight end Jason Witten and former defensive coordinator Paul Guenther are grave indictments that could eventually lead to his downfall with the Raiders.

The Titans will wear decals that read "615 Strong" on their helmets Sunday when they face the Texans in Houston.
The decals are meant to "honor the resilience of Nashville in the aftermath of the Christmas Day bombing," the team said.
The "6" in 615, the city's area code, will be in Titans blue to pay homage to the six first responders — officers Brenna Hosey, Tyler Luellen, Michael Sipos, Amanda Toping, James Wells and Sgt. Timothy Miller — who helped evacuate the scene before police say Anthony Warner blew up a city block and himself with a bomb planted in his RV.

How bad is Will Compton's haircut that Titans jokingly added him to injury list?

He set himself up for one when he reported to the Titans' facility with a "Shelby-style" haircut (a reference to the TV show "Peaky Blinders," which takes place in the early 1900s). The Titans' social media team decided to have some fun with it, jokingly posting that Compton should be placed on the injury report -- with his status for the weekend listed as doubtful -- because his haircut was just

We’ve seen a lot of cool haircuts in the NFL, NBA, and European soccer this year. But the one Tennessee Titans linebacker Will Compton got definitely shouldn’t be copied anywhere.
Taking to Twitter on Thursday, Compton revealed that he got a new haircut that he showed off to the locker room. But he admitted that he was “absolutely crucified” for it.
In a follow-up tweet, Compton revealed the extent of the damage. He showed it off and it is not pretty to say the least.

There is no doubt that Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Derek Carr is thrilled for teammates Darren Waller and Josh Jacobs for making their first AFC Pro Bowl team.
Carr’s top two offensive weapons were the only two Las Vegas players named to the Pro Bowl on Monday. Unfortunately, that means center Rodney Hudson was snubbed — and Carr is not pleased about it.
After congratulating his tight end and running back for their honors, Carr brought up the Hudson omission on a press call Tuesday without being prompted by media members.
“The fact that Rodney Hudson wasn’t (voted) in there blows my mind,” Carr said. “I could go on and on about some more guys that should have been in there, but sometimes, I’ll let you guys talk about those things and why that happens.

NASHVILLE – The Titans beat the Lions 46-25 on Sunday at Nissan Stadium.
Here's a look at six things that stood out from the game as the team begins to turn its attention to next Sunday's game vs the Green Bay Packers:
King Henry and His Sidekick
It was no surprise seeing Titans running back Derrick Henry impact another game like he did. Henry went for 147 yards and another touchdown, and in the process became just the 4th player in NFL history to record 1,500 rushing yards and 15 rushing TDs in consecutive seasons, joining Shaun Alexander, Terrell Davis and Larry Johnson. With two games to go, Henry now has 1,679 yards and 15 touchdowns. And how about that stiff-arm from Henry? Oh man, that'll leave a mark. But how about the play of fellow running back Darrynton Evans in his first action since the October 13 contest against the Bills? Evans looked fast against the Lions as he ran for 30 yards, while also catching two passes for 27 yards and a score. He returned a pair of kickoffs as well. The 1-2 punch of Henry and Evans was fun to watch on Sunday.

Marcus Mariota’s debut with the Las Vegas Raiders on Thursday night drew praise from coach Jon Gruden, his teammates and from the Los Angeles Chargers.
However, the most interesting compliments came from Mariota’s former teammates with the Tennessee Titans, where Mariota spent the first five years of his career before he signed with the Raiders in March. The comments on Twitter by his former teammates showed how much love and respect they still have for Mariota.
