Montreal Canadiens
Carey Price returned to the lineup against the Ottawa Senators.
The goalie took part in the morning skate but did not dress for a 2-1 win against the Calgary Flames on Friday. He practiced the previous two days for the first time since aggravating a lower-body injury April 5.
"Yes, Carey is back today," Canadiens coach Dominique Ducharme said Saturday. "He's an important player for us. [Goalie Jake Allen] did some really good work while he was out, but to have the two who can play, we're happy to see him again."

Flames aim to close gap on Canadiens
The Calgary Flames seek their fourth straight win when they visit the Montreal Canadiens (6 p.m. ET; ESPN+, RDS, TSN2, SNW, NHL.TV) to complete a two-game series at Bell Centre. Calgary defeated Montreal 4-1 on Wednesday to move within four points of the fourth-place Canadiens in the seven-team Scotia North Division. The top four teams will qualify for the Stanley Cup Playoffs. The Canadiens are 1-4-0 in their past five games while being outscored 18-9, but they have three games in hand on the Flames and play them three more times (April 23-24 and 26) in Calgary. Flames center Mikael Backlund has scored seven points (two goals, five assists) in his past five games.

The Vancouver Canucks expect to complete the 56-game NHL regular season because their health is improving after an outbreak of a COVID-19 variant.
The Canucks have had 21 players and four staff members test positive, and the NHL has postponed six of their games through Saturday.
Primary team physician Dr. Jim Bovard said Friday cases had peaked, and he and head athletic therapist Jon Sanderson were scheduled to meet with doctors at the NHL and NHL Players' Association on Friday to discuss when they could reopen their facilities and return to play.

Forward injured when hit by shot in first period of OT win against Oilers
NHL.com @NHLdotcom
Brendan Gallagher will be out indefinitely after the Montreal Canadiens forward broke his right thumb in a 3-2 overtime win against the Edmonton Oilers at Bell Centre on Monday.
Gallagher left the game at 13:28 of the first period shortly after he was struck by a shot by Canadiens defenseman Alexander Romanov.
"He's the engine. He really is," goalie Jake Allen said. "You know what you're getting from 'Gally' every game. He's going to be in the hard areas. He's going to do the things that you know you need to do and pay the price to win. And don't get me wrong, those are really tough shoes to fill, but I think we have a lot of guys in this room that can really fill that."
