Dr. Rowena Galpo, city health office chief, in a media interview on Tuesday said the vaccination started at the different district health centers catering to Baguio's 128 villages to bring services closer to the residents. She said second booster vaccination in malls has likewise started. As of April 25, some 115,276 individuals out of the 281,000 target eligible adult population have received their first booster shot, according to the Public Information Office-Baguio. Galpo said the city has started to wind up its operations in the mega-vaccination sites to allow the schools to use their facilities and the mall to give spaces for their clients. "We do vaccination at the different health centers aside from pursuing the mobile vaccination to cater to the immobile and the senior citizens," she said. Galpo said they will prioritize persons who are immuno-compromised like persons with immune deficiency, people living with human immunodeficiency syndrome or HIV, cancer patients, transplant recipients, and bedridden patients. Based on the city's advisory for the second booster shot, eligible individuals can get their shots at least three months after their third dose or the 1st booster shot. Among the requirements are a vaccination card, a valid identification card, and a medical certificate stating the immune-compromised condition of the individual. She encouraged those who have not received the first booster to avail of one at any of the following areas: Watson's pharmacy, Mercury Drugstore, the SM vaccination area, and the district health center. They may also call the health services office to inquire about mobile vaccination that conducts house-to-house inoculation. (PNA) }
