TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Trey Cunningham and Lauren Ryan were named the ACC Performers of the Week Tuesday afternoon. Cunningham and Ryan are the fourth and fifth Noles to be named ACC Performers of the Week this season joining Alonie Sutton, Don'drea Swint and Edidiong Odiong. Cunningham had a record-breaking weekend in the 60m hurdles at the Texas Tech Open. Cunningham broke his own school record clocking in at 7.46 which was also a facility record. Cunningham's time is the fourth-fastest time in collegiate history and is the fastest time ever recorded in the ACC. Trey has won this award many times, but today's might be the most impressive after what he did last weekend in Lubbock, Head Coach Bob Braman said. Trey shattered the record books, and we are really excited to see what he can do throughout the rest of the season. Ryan continues to post consistent numbers for the Noles distance crew. Ryan broke the facility record in the 3000m race at the Bob Pollock Meet with a time of 9:07.19 to win the event. Ryan also finished second behind teammate Maudie Skyring in the mile with a time of 4:36.76. Both of those times rank third in the ACC and are top 20 times nationally. Lauren continues to be consistent with some of the best runners in the nation every week, Braman said. She is truly a leader for that distance group, and we know what we are going to get from her week in and week out.
