happened to meg whitman that ran for governor in california. she had to go farther and farther tore right in order to get the nomination and backtrack on most of what she said in the primary to get the moderate independents to vote for her in the general election. it didn't work. jeff in georgia writes -- yeah, that evil tea party wants the government to operate within a budget, lower taxes and limit the overreaching power of the feds. as the democratic new york senator chuck schumer said, quote, that's just too extreme. unquote. steve in florida -- tea party for sure. force any republican into such a far right corn their it will be impossible for them to move anywhere near the center to win the general election. this couldn't make me happier. rich in texas writes -- if people listened to what the tea party is saying and not just the democrats talking points i think they would be mazed at how much they agree with them. i know you agree with the pee party, jack, you just don't have the guts to admit it because of cnn's liberal bias. you want to read more on the subject go to my blog,
