corruption and you're used to getting up early and going to school. today, you're on tv. so you came up with this program. how does it differ from getting a letter grade? >> i didn't come up with the program. >> implemented. >> yes, i helped implement the program. it's from a letter grade because we use national standards as well as new jersey state standards. i put in grades into a checklist, the computer generates the checklist according to the national standards. so that's given by the computer program. the next level is portfolio which i give a grade on the student's work. and the third is progress. so i'm able to also give a grade on progress. so there's three elements. two i'm in charge of and one the program is. >> so john, why is this better? by the way, we should mention it's only up to third grade. in fourth grade, you go back to grades a, b, c, d, f. >> how is this different or better? >> true performance based system. you're looking at children in three different areas. you're looking at them compared
