As today marks the beginning of meteorological spring, many people's thoughts will surely be turning to the summer holidays. The Covid-19 pandemic ruined last year's holiday season as thousands had to cancel plans for a much-needed break away from home. With the vaccination programme moving at pace in Northern Ireland, it is hoped that holidaymakers can get their plane tickets booked and their suitcases packed for the 2021 season. Deputy First Minister Michelle O'Neill said last Thursday that she cannot advise people to book a holiday with "any degree of confidence" - but the Executive plans to publish a 'decision-making framework' on exiting lockdown today.
