Lt. Hal Utterback of the Crawfordsville Police Department retired after 41 years patrolling the streets, ending a career that brought him to the front lines of fighting crime and into the lives of middle schoolers learning to say no to drugs. “I’ve been one of those rare people that has gotten to do exactly what they wanted to do for their entire working career,” he said.
