Sault to represent state of Michigan in COVID-19 memorial :

Update: There has been a location change. The ceremony will now take place in Avery Center located on Ashmun Street due to the winter weather.
SAULT STE. MARIE — The Sault will be the only city in Michigan representing the state on the National Day of Mourning for those who have lost their lives to COVID-19. 
"We are especially proud of the event organizers who have taken to time to arrange the memorial," said city manager Brian Chapman. "This event will not only serve as a memorial for those that we have lost to COVID, but it’s a powerful reminder that we are all in this together."
