>> going back in time to produce more goods locally in a local economy. not just go on our own somewhere. cycle when we can. next time when you buy a car, buy a smaller car that's less consuming in fuel. insulate our houses better so we actually don't need so much energy. government or businesses also need to do something, but if we people don't start, we have no hope of ever seeing a change. we all have to take a step. and it didn't mean sacrificing our quality of life. >> save the earth, goes the tired rallying cry, but the truth is, the earth has survived much worse than us. the earth will be fine. but what about us? that seems to depend on a shift, unlike any in human history, a sudden universal awareness, that all our little insignificant choices add up in a big way.
