it was an issue in regards to uniforms. there are tears from all of these young girls. here is what one teacher said. with this announcement i feel like i did when the taliban entered the city for the first time. desperate, angry, insecure. the taliban haven't changed. their attitude toward women is always the same. it has not been on the front pages or in the headlines but the taliban continues to suppress women there in afghanistan. >> i'm glad you brought it up. this shouldn't be a surprise to anyone. this is an administration incapable of govern their country and they lie to everyone in the international order in order to try to loosen up some money. their reserves, for example, humanitarian aid. the reality is women in afghanistan under the taliban have lost so many of the gains that they had made. one of the few things we can really be proud of over 20 years in the war in afghanistan. those gains are gone and it is terribly disturbing and concerted international pressure needs to continue to be placed on the taliban.
