reporting. here's the headline, quote, more than 20,000 haitians are gathered in colombia for possible migration to the u.s., 20,000 more haitians could be on the way. what's driving this latest surge, julia? >> well, as morgan points out, a lot of these people left haiti years ago. many of them were sparked by the immigration surge when they left in 2010 after the effort quake. there has been a number of incidents there, specifically this year, with the assassination of their president and the latest earthquake in august, the 14th of august. a lot of people have left. many sought economic opportunities in south america and central america, but a lot of that has dried up. they are seeking a better life in the united states. now i think they're watching all of these people be turned away. there are a number of deportations. many have been allowed to stay and claim asylum. right now dhs is monitoring this
