But Browning, who lives in South Whitehall Township, is known on Twitter for his tweets as @DeanBrowningPA. He garnered national attention last fall following a disastrous set of tweets that began when Browning tweeted, “I’m a black gay guy.” Browning later explained he was sharing a message sent to him earlier in the week by a follower named Dan Purdy. Purdy deleted his account, but media reports said he strongly resembled someone named Byl Holte, Patti LaBelle’s nephew and adopted son.
