But the video does tell us is that the entire incident took about 30 seconds from the time the officers confronted the homeless man to when the shooting stopped. 45yearold luis gongora died from his wounds at the hospital. Police responded to a call of a man with a knife. This knife pictured on a police photo. The chief says they fired bean bags but to no avail, and to officers then fired about seven rounds.
