দেশে ফ্রান্সের জাতীয় পতাকা তৈরি করে প্রভাবশালীদের রোষানলে পড়েছে এক পরিবার। এই কারণে গত ৮ মাসেও নিজের বাড়িতে ফিরতে পারছে না চাঁদপুর সদরের আশিকাটি ইউনিয়নের হোসেনপুর গ্রামের ফ্রান্স প্রবাসী আলী নাজিরের স্ত্রী রোজিনা আক্তার। শুধু তাই নয়, মামলা আর ফের হামলার ভয়ে এখন পালিয়ে বেড়াচ্ছে ওই নারী। ঘটনার প্রতিকার চেয়ে প্রধানমন্ত্রী, স্বরাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রী এবং পুলিশ মহাপরিদর্শকসহ সংশ্লিষ্টদের হস্তক্ষেপ কামনা করেছেন তিনি। এই নিয়ে রবিবার দুপুরে চাঁদপুর প্রেসক্লাবে সংবাদ সম্মেলন করেন রোজিনা আক্তার।
এসময় তিনি বলেন, আগামী ১৪ জুলাই ফ্রান্সের জাতীয় দিবসে ৫০ কিলোমিটার দৈর্ঘ্যের দেশটির জাতীয় পতাকা উপহার দিতে চান তিনি। এই জন্য প্রবাসী স্বামীর উৎসাহে ফ্রান্সের জাতীয় পতাকা তৈরির কাজ শুরু করেন। এরই মধ্যে ৪৬ কিলোমিটার দৈর্ঘ্যের ও ৬৩ মণ ওজনের পতাকা তৈরিও করে ফেলেন। তবে চাঁদার দাবিতে তাতে বাধা দেন স্থানীয় ইউনিয়ন পরিষদ সদস্য আলমগীর হোসেন। একপর্যায়ে টাকা না পেয়ে গত বছরের ৩০ অক্টোবর হামলা চালিয়ে রোজিনা আক্তারসহ তার পরিবারের সদস্যদের আহত করেন।
রোজিনা আক্তারের দাবি, তখন বিষয়টি পুলিশকে জানানো হলে উল্টো অপবাদের মুখে পড়েন তিনি। ওই সময় ধর্মীয় একটি ইস্যুকে কেন্দ্র করে হামলাকারীরা বিশাল আকৃতির এই পতাকা ছাড়াও সঙ্গে বানানো বাংলাদেশের জাতীয় পতাকাও নষ্ট করে। এরই মধ্যে চাঁদপুর সদর মডেল থানা পুলিশ পতাকাগুলো জব্দ করে নিয়ে যায়। এ ঘটনায় রোজিনা আক্তার দুটি মামলা করেও প্রয়োজনীয় নিরাপত্তা পাননি। সেই ঘটনার পর থেকে এখন পর্যন্ত তিনি বাড়িতে ফিরতে পারছেন না। এই জন্য সংবাদমাধ্যমের মাধ্যমে দেশের প্রধানমন্ত্রী, স্বরাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রী এবং পুলিশ মহাপরিদর্শকসহ সংশ্লিষ্টদের সময়োপযোগী হস্তক্ষেপ চেয়েছেন।
রোজিনা আক্তারের প্রত্যাশা পুলিশের কাছ থেকে পতাকাগুলো ফেরত পেলে অসমাপ্ত কাজ শেষ করে পুরো ৫০ কিলোমিটার দৈর্ঘ্যের ফ্রান্সের জাতীয় দিবসে সেখানে পৌঁছে দিতে পারবেন। একই সঙ্গে নিজের নিরাপত্তা নিশ্চিত করার দাবিও জানান তিনি।
২০১৭ সালের ১৪ জুলাই ফ্রান্সের জাতীয় দিবসে দেশটিতে বসবাসকারী চাঁদপুরের আলী নাজির মিজি ৫০ কিলোমিটার দৈর্ঘ্যের পতাকা উপহার দিতে আগ্রহ প্রকাশ করেন। এর প্রতিশ্রুতিতে ফ্রান্স সরকারের সংশ্লিষ্ট বিভাগ আলী নাজির মিজিকে এমন বিশাল আকৃতির এবং ব্যতিক্রমধর্মী পতাকা তৈরির অনুমতি প্রদান করে। যে কারণে দেশের মাটিতে তার পরিবার পরিজনদের দিয়ে এমন পতাকা তৈরির উদ্যোগ নেন। রোজিনা আক্তার দাবি, ফ্রান্সসহ বহিবিশ্বে বাংলাদেশের ভাবমূর্তি উজ্জল করতে তার স্বামী ব্যতিক্রমি এই উদ্যোগ নেন।
এদিকে, ঘটনা সম্পর্কে জানতে রবিবার দুপুরে চাঁদপুর জেলা পুলিশ সুপার মিলন মাহমুদের সঙ্গে যোগ করা হয়। তিনি বলেন, এই জেলায় যোগদানের আগেই এমন ঘটনা ঘটেছে। তাই পুরো বিষয়টি সম্পর্কে অবগত নই। তবে খোঁজ খবর নিয়ে প্রয়োজনীয় ব্যবস্থা নেওয়ার আশ্বাস দেন তিনি। এই সঙ্গে ভুক্তভোগীদের তার কাছে গিয়ে সরাসরি বিস্তারিত জানাতে পরামর্শ দেন, জেলা পুলিশের শীর্ষ এই কর্মকর্তা।
