so we haven t had a chance to digest it. but the attorney general in his confirmation hearings was very clear with a one-word answer when asked by a senator whether he had contact with the russians in any way, shape, or form. he said no, period. no condition, no modification. so obviously that turns out to not be accurate there is no reason to believe that jeff sessions in the confirmation hearing was trying to hide something. he may simply have forgotten. but it does mean two things. number one, it adds to the incredible weight of evidence that the administration is not credible on these issues. remember a couple of weeks ago when we heard that michael flynn was talking to the russian ambassador simply to wish him merry christmas. and of course that turns out not to be true. and michael flynn is no longer national security adviser. so this white house has a very, very significant credibility problem. and it s with respect to attorney general sessions, what this means, and again, ....

capricious, ash tear or made sense. the supreme court in boumedin struck it down saying it was not an adequate substitute for habeas. that s correct, senator. your role was to find out a way to engage congress on the detainee treatment because it was your view that congress, being involved, would strengthen the president s hand? as a lawyer? yes. i was not a policymaker but i did advise. as a lawyer. as did many others. there were very other many fine lawyers, too, senator, who advised the administration that engaging congress would be a good idea, because we had read our youngstown and our justice jackson. any lawyer i think who understands this area of the law would suggest the president is stronger when he has congressional support. the signing statement. is it fair to say there was a conflict between the vice president s office and other parts of the bush administration about what the signing statement
should say or look like? that s my recollection, and ....

nothing to do with his qualifications. they are opposed to donald trump pointing anyone to the supreme court. kneneil gorsuch a good man. it s the democrats who are breaking the rules, what they re doing is changing the 200 year status quo. the ironny is that you could have said the exact same things, regarding judge garland. that, of course, was president s garland s dom knee to fill the same vacancy who republicans refused to hold a single confirmation hearing, much less a vote. it was an unprecedented feet of obstruction. which mitch mcconnell on the campaign trail later, one of my proudest moments. the garland affairs seem to have taught democrats a lesson about the up sides of obstructionism and now with engaged based marching the streets and turning up the town hall showing to posed any kind of cooperation whatsoever with this president,
there s new in washington. just four democratic senators came out against a gorsuch fill buster, facing tough re-election battles ....

happy easter to those of you celebrating. we have a lot of politics to get to. but first, the growing tension between the united states and north korea. north korea last night launched a ballistic missile from the submarine base in sinpo, but the missile exploded minutes after launch. this happened as mike pence landed in south korea for talks on how to counter the growing nuclear ambitions and he spoke to american troops at a breakfast there this morning. i m joined by senior national security analyst juan duarte, the failure, the new york times this morning leans hard into the idea that the failure wasn t necessarily a north korean failure, but maybe sabotage and possibly sabotage from the united states. what can you say? this is a missile program that s been replete with failures. and the challenge is we don t know yet. it could be sabotage. it could be poor engineering or bad luck. it s the nature of the missile programs but it s clear that
many trump voters though are ....
