Before i get started talking about what we are here today, id like to give a heartfelt prayer of thanksgiving to all of those that gave their lives to this country, all those people are continue to serve. This is a special day. This is a hollow day. Growing up my dad served in world war ii, in the navy, and people were called to serve and then we had korea, vietnam and the people serving today. So we can never forget and we can never give them enough thanks what theyve done for this nation. One of the things they fought for is for our right, our freedom to have free and fair elections. So that is at the end of day what we really need to be mindful, particularly of our office as we work finishing up and closing out the election we just had. And then sometimes have a Bad Reputation and how clean it was good. And then to be provocative and i thought to thought experiment like chinas competition we just cannot grow as fast. But we can have more people we spend money to keep them out and we dont have as many children as they say we want to have. We occurred provide childcare so why not . When i do it . Limited to say thats too many people like is hong kong to be crammed in like sardines. Is that true . With one americans the population would be about half. Yeah america is empty with a lot of amber waves of grain. [laughter] is just really big and stuff is historically odd 330 million in canada they are 25 million we make policy choices mature. She is author of memoir of a race traitor. An addition of that book came out in 2019. She is also an author of other books. I am delighted to be here. You spent more than a decade writing this book. What is it that first grabbed you and held so long. Alabama and ind love southern literature growing up in the south in the 1950s and the apartheid culture, a little white girl in a segregated family. Dontalways looking for i understand this and i turned to writers. I didnt know what milledgeville was. I knew that i had been threatened to be dragged off to in the 1950s and 1960s when i was at my most interesting and curious. From my aunt out may, the deep dark secret which was that my greatgrandfather, a confederate veteran, died in a hospital in alabama in 1901. He was ....

Night riders, torchwielding, mounted ku klux klaners. All my life id wondered if the whole thing was a racist fantasy, just something kids like to talk about in the backseat of the bus. But when i typed it into a newspaper database, up came a list of headlines that, sure enough, told of an 18yearold woman who was raped and killed near the banks of the chattahoochee river allegedly by three black men, and her name was may crow. Theres a photograph of her around 1912, and she lived near where my parents house was in a town called oscarville. A little village. This was me playing hooky.
