Although now living in Dundalk, Hemingway spent her first two years in Ireland living in Ballymoney, Gorey. Her new album, 'Earth & Asphalt', follows on the heels of the very well received 2017 release, 'Whins and Weather'. While Hemingway herself thought her Irish odyssey would result in her embracing some green-tinted folk elements into her music she admits that relocation has ironically led to her adopting an even more American sound. The album opener, 'Birmingham', sets the tone for what's to follow. A high-octane, dirty country rocker it immediately invokes images of a packed music bar on a Friday night where everyone is out for a good time.
