Dinesh Kanwar Hamirpur, December 17 City lad Adarsh, aka Addi Sehra, a lyricist, singer and composer, has got a viewership of over 1.35 million of his song "Kamli" on Youtube in just four days after it was posted on Youtube. Addi made his debut with film "Saanjh" directed by Ajay Saklani when he was just 16 years of age and a Class XII student of Blue Star Senior Secondary School here. He had written two songs for the film, including the title song. "Saanjh" featured actor Asif Batra and Taranjeet Kaur. Before its release on April 14, 2017, the film received the Best Feature Film Award at the Borrego Springs Film Festival held in California, USA. Set in the Kullu valley, "Saanjh" was the journey of Sanju, a 16-year-old city girl, who was a victim of a fake social media post.
“It feels good to see his last film release in theatres. This film was shot in Lucknow five years ago and I am glad that it’s getting a theatrical release now and I wish the makers the best,” said Nandita. “I’m so glad that the makers are dedicating it to Omji. I remember him filming in Lucknow and despite having typhoid, finishing the shoot on time,” Nandita added. The film is produced by Khalid Kidwai and directed by Ranjeet Gupta. Besides, Om Puri, the film also stars Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Ishtiyak Khan and Zakir Hussain.
