we re on the snow fields. having a great run. reporter: a handful of daredevils are breaking all boundaries. pioneering a new sport where passion and pure risk collide. it is a perfect blend of big mountain skiing and high performance parachute flying. what it does is it allows people like myself to go to terrain and do lines never thought rideable before because they closed out in big crevasses or cliffs. reporter: of the handful who are spearheading this new extreme sport, john devor might be the most fanatic. he is taking us to utah s back country. we touch down on 10,000 feet on a narrow ridge called high ivory. pretty steep drop. trying to get enough speed. to get reporter: soon after john launches the lack of good wind causes trouble. ....
