Good morning. After discussions with health experts, local and federal officials, and other governors concerning the fight against covid19, and reviewing the orders issued by other states, i am issuing the following emergency order effective tuesday, march 24 at noon, all nonessential businesses shall close their physical workplaces and facilities to all workers, customers and the public. This order will remain in effect until tuesday, april 7 at noon. I am also directing the department of Public Health to issue a stayathome advisory outlining self isolation and social distancing protocols. This advisory will also be in effect until tuesday, april 7. We also strongly advise people over the age of 70 and those with Underlying Health issues to stay home and limit their interactions with others as much as possible.
