US President Joe Biden announces $3.5bn for projects nationwide to strengthen electric grid, bolster resilience
The Biden administration has allocated $3.5 billion for 58 projects aimed at strengthening the resilience of the electric grid in the face of extreme weather events. Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm stated that this is the largest federal investment ever made in grid infrastructure. The funding, combined with contributions from private partners, could result in up to $8 billion in total investments nationally.
