From our neighboring state of Louisiana, Matt Houston will be headed to Texas to work at KENS 5 and tell the stories of San Antonio.
Houston is joining the CBS affiliate from WAFB in Baton Rouge where he was promoted to weekend anchor at the height of the coronavirus pandemic. But that wasn't his only accomplishment. Houston was also the youngest serving member of the station's editorial board.

Did you get a “Payment Status Not Available” when trying to track your payment through the 'Get My Payment' tool on the IRS website? Here's a breakdown on what that means.
Over the weekend, a new round of stimulus payments began processing, according to officials at the Treasury Department and Internal Revenue Service in a report by KOIN-TV.  But if you weren't lucky enough to get the check in your account this weekend, you were probably trying to find out when you'll get your $1,400 stimmy.

Sunday Funday is going to hit different if Americans start receiving their stimulus. According to White House press secretary Jen Psaki, who informed reporters of the update on Thursday, deposits could start hitting this weekend.
“People can expect to start seeing direct deposits hit their bank accounts as early as this weekend,” Psaki said at a press briefing. This is, of course, just the first wave, payments to eligible Americans will continue throughout the course of the next several weeks.”
The news came minutes after President Joe Biden signed the $1.9 trillion Covid relief bill that included the $1,400 stimulus check, an extended $300 per week unemployment boost through September and a child tax credit expansion for a year, according to a report by CNBC.

KSAT-12 weekend anchor Courtney Friedman is sharing some exciting news.
"It’s a dream come true to announce to a community I love, that I’m pregnant. My husband and I are thrilled to be expecting a little girl in July!" Friedman said in an online report.
The San Antonio TV personality told MySA she and her husband Clint found out they were expecting in early November.
"I’ve always wanted to be a mom, so I am absolutely ecstatic. I’m mainly just feeling excited and grateful, but of course there are always going to be worries," she told MySA. "Other pregnant women right now know those fears are amplified during a pandemic. That’s why I wanted to create a space where we can all talk about our concerns and get our questions answered."

Target employees are getting paid to get the COVID-19 vaccine

Target is offering all employees up to four hours of pay to get a COVID-19 vaccine.
In a press release, the retail company also states they will provide free Lyft rides to and from their appointments, up to $15 each way, if they need it.
The retailer says they don't require team members to get one in order for them to come to work, but they are encouraging them to get vaccinated.
“As more vaccines become available, especially for frontline and essential workers, we’ll help our team members across the country get the information and access they need,"  says Chief Human Resources Officer Melissa Kremer. "As we have for the past year, we’ll continue to invest in our team’s pay and benefits so they can take care of themselves, each other and our guests.”
