i think it s very clear from the results of this election that the republican party, if they re going to succeed long-term, if they re going get back in the presidential election game is going to have to change their position on guy marriage. you know, younger people in particular are just it s inevitable. they re moving more and more towards this. and, you know, if you listen to ted olson, who is a deeply conservative republican, who was ronald reagan s solicitor general, you listen to him talk about this issue, and he is going to be one of the people arguing the case, there is a deeply conservative position to be taken here that two people who love each other, who want to spend their life together ought to have, no matter what their sexuality, ought to have the same rights as two heterosexual people that want to live together. and that s just a basic fairness. and, you know, conservative republicans should be for two people who love each other. it s family values that two people ....
