I have long suspected former White House staffer Ben Rhodes never actually liked the Constitution. On Tuesday, in a tweet regarding the Supreme Court leak of draft orders overturning Roe v. Wade, he confirmed as much. Rhodes whined about how our government works and has worked since 1787, regarding Supreme Court justice appointments. Moreover, he insinuated these long-standing traditions were not indicative of a legitimate democracy.

As a recent graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, I have tens of thousands of dollars in student loan debt. My parents were not the Kardashians, so I stand to benefit significantly from student loan forgiveness. Furthermore, I do not entirely subscribe to the right-wing thought that student loan forgiveness is bad. After all, if our government spends millions on gender studies programs in Pakistan, I'd rather see that go to student loan forgiveness here at home.

Many people criticized Kentucky GOP Sen. Rand Paul yesterday for allegedly making comments supportive of Russian President Vladimir Putin during a Senate hearing. The comments came during an exchange between Paul and Secretary of State Antony Blinken about the crisis in Ukraine. Paul argued that NATO expansion had provoked Moscow, which led to the invasion, and that Russia has attacked only former Soviet republics. Paul's critics claimed this echoed Putin's propaganda. It didn't, and they are wrong. Furthermore, such criticism reveals a startling lack of knowledge of facts.
