mr. fortenberry: people may not agree with us, but the vast majority of americans do agree that the government should not be entangled in this. in other words, taxpayer money should not be going for the provision of abortion. that s one bit of good news. the second bit of good news is, i think, again, those of us who have been here a little while, who have been in these trenches trying to beg and plead for an increase of awareness as to what the consequences of abortion are, young people are recognizing that, again, there s got to be a better way. they ve lived with this through their generation. they ve seen the scars, seen the wounds, seen the effects on society and they re coming forward and saying women deserve better. can t we be loving enough, can t we be big enough to do something different here? and i think that s a great sign of encouragement for two reasons. one is projecting forward, maybe we can reshape society. but also heal the wounds that have already occ ....
