The flooding. Cars were damaged. We were just told that at least a halfdozen homes were flooded as well. We went inside one such home and talked with an elderly couple. They showed us 34 feet of water sitting in their basement. It is unclear what caused the water line to rupture enablers neighbors are telling us it is happened before 2 other times. Some small business owners who've been targeted by thieves multiple times said they're fed up with the lack of city services in Oakland, and they're threatening not to pay their taxes until Oakland provides more police patrol and safe, clean streets.
