SACRAMENTO, Calif. – On a late-February morning, more than 100 high school students were joined by teachers and parents as they gathered in East Portal Park in East Sacramento. Some held signs and others chanted, "No justice, no peace," as they marched toward their destination.

Black St. Francis Students Call On School To 'Be Better' — The Sacramento Observer


SACRAMENTO – While students at St. Francis High School say a classmate in blackface is par for the course, they’re tired of such behavior going unchecked. A group of students from the local all-girl Catholic school rallied on Wednesday to bring awareness to what they say is a history of racism at the school.
Kendra Corbray, St. Francis High School’s current Black Student Union president, says administrators and faculty need to atone for their continued complacency in dealing with racism at the local school.
