To Promote Equality, California Proposes A Ban On Advanced Math Classes

Dumbing Down of America Takes Another Leap Forward
A friend of mine emailed an article the likes of which always prompts me to say "really?"
Culturally Responsive Framework
I like to verify things myself and you can do so as well by reading the California Department of Education Mathematics Framework.
In its framework, the Department of Education seeks "
Culturally responsive mathematics education."
Introduction Highlights
Active efforts in mathematics teaching are required in order to counter the cultural forces that have led to and continue to perpetuate current inequities.
Mathematics pathways must open mathematics to all students, eliminating option-limiting tracking. [i.e. no advance classes].

US Military Exposed 600,000 to Toxins in Japan and Micronesia -- and Hid It

Most Americans trust the military; a 2020 poll found 72 percent with “a great deal” or “quite a lot” of confidence in that institution, edged out only by small business. Many were likely picturing enlisted persons, but their trust often extends to the leadership, both uniformed and civilian. However, those making life-and-death decisions for both U.S. troops and people of other countries — even in the absence of war — deserve our serious scrutiny.
A new book,
Poisoning the Pacific, examines the military’s long role in the environmental degradation of East Asia and Pacific islands, severely impacting the health of the region’s people and U.S. personnel stationed there. Author Jon Mitchell is a Tokyo-based journalist, and much of his book focuses on Japan, especially its southernmost prefecture of Okinawa. But he also covers contamination in places like Vietnam, Guam and the Marshall Islands.

nafta, workers rights, human threats, environmental principles. if there was a destructive undermining of a democratic constituency once the party did not deliver on the promises to remedy some of those deficiencies. >> laura: obama said he would renegotiate. he said that, but he didn't. >> i want to say though that candidates do have an obligation to express a sense of urgency about those things that they see coming up that could present a problem for the country and climate change, national and global challenge, the potential of wider war as tulsi gabbard pointed out -- >> laura: who kept us out of more wars -- more military involvement than from? again, he's taken so many of these issues off thehe table. >> he's taken them off the table but at the same time i think -- >> laura: he wants a better relationship with russia. we can't even talk to russia anymore. that was never mentioned tonight again. mueller, trunk allusion wasn't
