DK Metcalf’s display incredible speed during his length-of-the field, chase-down tackle of Budda Baker was the talk of the 2020 NFL season. The Seattle Seahawks’ wide receiver now plans to test his speed against elite sprinters on the track.
Metcalf will take his speed to the track after entering to compete in the 100-meter dash at the USATF Golden Games at Mt. SAC in Walnut, California on Sunday, according to USA Track and Field.

Former NFL and Oregon State star Chad Johnson has decided to lace up the boxing gloves.
The former wide receiver will fight in an exhibition bout on the undercard of Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Logan Paul on June 6 at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida.
Johnson will likely fight another celebrity or former athlete in a four- to six-round exhibition bout.

The Seattle Seahawks say they made the most of their three picks in the 2021 NFL draft.
The Seahawks’ three picks were the fewest for any team in the league and their selections were the second-fewest players in the common draft era that began in 1967. Even with the paltry number of selections, the Seahawks addressed holes on offense and the continuing echo of quarterback Russell Wilson’s complaints about the unit.

The Los Angeles Chargers didn’t know the extent of Justin Herbert’s talent when they used the No. 6 overall pick to select him in the 2020 NFL draft. Fast forward to the 2021 NFL draft and it’s clear the Chargers know what they have in Herbert and used the draft to continue building around their star quarterback.

Former Oregon prep star Osa Odighizuwa was selected by the Dallas Cowboys in the 2021 NFL draft on Friday.
Odighizuwa, a defensive tackle out of UCLA, was selected in the third round (No. 75) of the draft by the Cowboys.
Odighiuzuwa, the former star at David Douglas High School, posted 30 total tackles, six tackles for loss and four sacks in seven games for the Bruins in 2020. Odighizuwa registered a career year in 2019, with 46 total tackles and 10 tackles for loss in 12 games.

The Seattle Seahawks held just three picks when the 2021 NFL draft began Thursday. The Seahawks’ picks - none in the first round - were the fewest of any team in the 2021 draft.
Their first selection of the draft was late in the second round (No. 56), and they selected D’Wayne Eskridge, a wide receiver out of Western Michigan. Eskridge posted 33 catches for 768 yards and a career-high eight touchdowns in six games during the 2020 season.

Former Washington and West Linn High School star cornerback Elijah Molden was selected by the Tennessee Titans in the third round of the 2021 NFL draft on Friday.

Molden, a cornerback out of Washington, was chosen in the third round (No. 100) in the draft.
The 5-foot-9 Molden, who played at West Linn High School, posted 26 total tackles in five games for the Huskies in 2020. Molden registered 79 total tackles, four interceptions and 12 passes defensed - all career-highs - in 2019.
Molden, who played at multiple positions in the secondary for the Huskies, will compete for the starting nickelback spot for the Titans in 2021. Desmond King, who started at the position in 2020, signed a one-year contract worth up to $6 million with the Houston Texans in free agency.

Aaron Rodgers, star quarterback of the Green Bay Packers has told the team he doesn’t want to return and wants to be traded, according to multiple reports. Rodgers has told the Packers he does not want to return to the team for the 2021 season.
Reigning MVP Aaron Rodgers is so disgruntled with the Green Bay Packers that he has told some within the organization that he does not want to return to the team, league and team sources told ESPN on Thursday.

The San Francisco 49ers selected quarterback Trey Lance with the No. 3 pick in the 2021 NFL draft.
The 49ers used their pick to select the former North Dakota State quarterback Thursday night after completing a blockbuster trade in March with the Miami Dolphins to jump from their original No. 12 position in the draft to No. 3.
The 49ers’ decision to select Lance was somewhat of a surprise. Lance, who played for the Bison, a FCS program, had played in just 18 games during his career. Lance sat out the 2020 season because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Lance, who played for the North Dakota State Bison, a FCS program, had played in just 18 games during his career. Lance sat out the 2020 season because of the coronavirus pandemic. Lance’s one full season in 2019 was spectacular. He passed for 2,786 yards with 28 touchdown passes and no interceptions while completing nearly 67 percent of his passes.
