McNeill won Canada's first gold medal in the women's 100 butterfly at the Tokyo Olympics

TOKYO-Margaret Mac Neil dismissed her bullseye about winning Canada’s first gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics.
The defending world champion of the women’s 100m butterfly completed the second half of the race at the Tokyo Aquatic Center on Monday.
Ranked seventh at the 50-meter turn, McNeill won the race in 55.59 seconds, the third fastest time in the history of the race.
“This is more than I had hoped at the time,” said the 21-year-old man from London, Ontario. “I really just want to enjoy the experience and have fun, I think I did it today.
“So I’m really proud of it, just try not to be so nervous, just try to relax, this is when I am really at my best condition.”

Margaret Mac Neil shrugged off the bull's-eye she felt on her to win Canada's first gold medal of Tokyo's Olympic Games.
The reigning world champion in the women's 100-metre butterfly blitzed the back half of that race Monday at the Tokyo Aquatic Centre.
Seventh at the 50-metre turn, Mac Neil mowed through the pack to win in 55.59 seconds, which is the third-fastest time in the history of the event.
"It was more than I was hoping for at this point," said the 21-year-old from London, Ont. "I was really just trying to enjoy the experience and just have fun, which I think I did today.

Special Envoy of the Secretary-General for Libya Discusses with UK High-Level Officials Support for Elections, Withdrawal of Mercenaries/Foreign Forces and Advancing Peace Process in Libya

As part of his outreach efforts to international community members, Special Envoy of the Secretary-General for Libya, and Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) Ján Kubiš paid a visit to London yesterday and met with high-level British officials.
He held a meeting with the Rt. Hon. James Cleverly, Minister for the Middle East & North Africa in the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office, to discuss the progress made so far in the peace process in Libya, including the implementation of the ceasefire agreement and the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum Roadmap. Special Envoy Kubiš and Mr. Cleverly emphasized the importance of holding the national election on 24 December as set out by the LPDF Roadmap and the swift withdrawal of mercenaries and foreign forces from Libya. The Special Envoy also met with Mr. George Hodgson, Head of North Africa Department at FCDO, his deputy Ms. Rosy Cave and other officials of the ministry.

It's Gone Viral recruits influencers for mental health series Prolific North

Manchester-based social media brand It’s Gone Viral has launched a new mental health campaign which will star TV personalities Cara De La Hoyde-Massey and James Tindale, and social media influencer Dan Spragg.
The limited series, Let’s Talk: Mental Health, aims to break down the stigma around mental health, and get people talking about the conditions they might be living with.
The original series, which launches today across all of It’s Gone Viral’s social platforms, coincides with Mental Health Awareness Week.
New four-minute bitesize episodes will be published on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube daily until Sunday 16th, with longer versions available on YouTube.
