Man arrested after injuring 8 with ax in Sweden, police say

Stockholm — A man armed with an ax attacked and injured eight people in a southern Swedish town Wednesday before being shot and arrested, police said.
Prime Minister Stefan Lofven said a possible terrorist motive was being investigated.
"In the light of what has emerged so far in the police investigation, prosecutors have initiated a preliminary investigation into terrorist crimes," he said but didn't elaborate.
Shortly after his statement, investigators at a police press conference said they had started a preliminary investigation into attempted murder, with details "that make us investigate any terrorist motives."

SF Studios Unveils Teaser Trailer for Big-Budget Thriller 'Omerta 6/12' (EXCLUSIVE)

SF Studios has released the first teaser trailer for the anticipated action thriller “Omerta 6/12” which just wrapped shooting. The big-budget film is directed by Aku Louhimies and stars Finnish actor Jasper Pääkkönen (“Da 5 Bloods,” “BlacKkKlansman”) and Swedish actors Nanna Blondell (“Red Dot”) and Sverrir Gudnason (“Borg vs. McEnroe”).
“Omertà 6/12″ is expected to premiere in theaters in Nov. and is being represented in international markets by REinvent International Sales. SF Studios will distribute the film in the Nordics.

Global distributor, producer and streamer MUBI has snapped up major European markets for hot Sundance title “Pleasure,” which delves into the world of the porn industry in Los Angeles.
The service has acquired all rights to the provocative film in the U.K., Ireland, Italy and Turkey. Directed by Ninja Thyberg, the film recently received its world premiere as part of Sundance’s World Cinema Dramatic Competition.

Due to COVID-19 cinema lockdowns or restrictions, box office in the Nordic region plummeted in 2020 year-on-year by 64% in Sweden, 57.6% in Iceland, 57% in Norway, 54% in Finland, and 47% in Denmark.
The dearth of new U.S .tentpoles, combined with strong domestic titles such as “Another Round,” allowed homegrown movies to punch all-time record market shares in Denmark (50.4%), Finland (41.1%) and Norway (35.6%).
