Thereve been scenes of violence and chaos on the streets of catalonia as it held an independence vote that the Spanish Government has declared illegal. Catalans Regional Government says 760 people have been injured in clashes with police who had tried to stop the ballot from taking place. Well, as polls were closing, and the counting of ballots about to begin, the spanish Prime Minister, Mariano Rajoy, spoke out. His statement was uncompromising.
