Lawrence McCormick, age 92 of Holland, passed away Monday, December 14, 2020 in Holland. A lifelong resident of the city, he was born March 21, 1928. Throughout his life, he was affectionately known as “Poogy” by his closest relatives and friends. Larry was a 1946 graduate of Holland High School, where he played football for the Dutch. After high school he played minor league football for the Grand Rapids Hurricanes. He served his country in the U.S. Army twice; at the end of World War II and again in Korea.
