Brooklyn: This is in response to the article by John Massengale, “Traffic flow and status quo,” Jan. 15.: Traffic has always been difficult on this section of the BQE because it isn’t large enough. It is crowded at most times.

Most traffic models assume driving will always increase. Why? Because they’re made by traffic engineers, whose job is to claim our streets for traffic.
In the same way carbon is the byproduct of our desire to control the world, towers are the product humans build to express and “make a name for ourselves”.
