megan mcgrath joins us by phone with the latest on this. what have we learned? >> reporter: that's right. leslie johnson has resigned from the prince george's county council. she'll continue to serve for a couple more weeks. her resignation does not take effect immediately. it doesn't happen until july the 31st. johnson pleaded guilty to destroying evidence last week. under maryland law, she has to resign after her sentencing on october the 13th, but she could, under law, continue to serve until then. but, again, this morning, in late-breaking news here, leslie johnson has the eender...
