west more toward jefferson county and potentially into leon. what i would ask people to do now especially if they live on the river, its tributaries and the swanee river valley in columbia as well, please heed the warnings if shane or any local emergency managers ask for evacuation, please do that. you are going to lose power. if you are power dependent. if you are power dependent, you have to have that. you're going to lose power. we are going to lose power. so please make sure you go some place that has power. that can help you out. i'm not going to talk about how columbia handles that. we have on our website at floridadisaster.org, that's our special needs registration but we are getting into a window where we're going to have to go direct with counties versus us getting that information and making sure it gets done on a county level. i'll let shane talk about that

you may see the national hurricane center update the track in either 2:00 or the 5:00 advisory. there are models suggesting that this is going to take more of a westward shift. that could bring it into areas like jefferson and leon and wakala area even and people have known this has a possibility and i know they're making preparations but that is something to look out for. there's still a range of uncertainty here. they're going to be updating this track as the day goes on and we will have probably better resolution on that as we get to the 2:00 or the 5:00 advisory. but that is a possibility. we've been in contact with all the local officials in all these areas and i know people have been making preparations. so continue to do that. the state is already starting to feel some effects of this in the southern part of the state. you're going to start to feel some effects in the northern part of the state. probably later tonight.

precautions. we do have counties, a total of 28 counties have issued some form of evacuation orders including alachua, hamilton, leon, nas snassau and putnam. if you're in an area, certainly the coastal areas, barrier islands. if you're in areas that are low lying or near some of the rivers, you likely would be advised to be evacuating at this time. we are already seeing impacts in southwest florida. we're seeing storm surge. the eye of this storm is probably 100 miles or more off the coast of southwest florida, and yet those outer bands are already showing significant impacts. you're going to see impacts all up and down the west coast of florida as the night goes on and as we get into the wee hours of tomorrow morning. we have been working with the
