Francisco transgender Film Festival was founded in 1997 by my friends Christopher Lee and alex austin, and we are the first and longest running transgender and gender nonconforming Film Festival in the world. Founded at a time when other Film Festivals would not screen trans and gender nonconforming filmmakers. We are proud to still be part of ongoing movements, supporting expression and leadership of communities of color, immigrants, and all trans and queer people. Especially now as we are fighting the negative impact of gentrification against all of our communities. I am very honored and humbled today to accept this commendation. Thank you very much. Rights in San Francisco for over two decades, she was the first transgender woman to serve on the board of directors of San Francisco women against race, thank you, i love that organization so much. And the first transgender woman selected to be a San Francisco pride grand marshal. Her contribution as a Community Builder have led her to serve on the board of two prominent trans organization, the transgender gender variant Justice Project and the transgender law center. Something to say, i really appreciate receiving this commendation from you. The expression i heard once, amazing what you get done if you dont care who gets credit and i really think your leadership is personified that kind of ideal and we appreciate that very much.
