The chief prosecutor is expressing regret. We spoke today with john geers father who said, its ridiculous that it took this long to get to this point. They indicted him on seconddegree murder charges. This happened in a standoff with police at geers springfield town hill. Torres was not named for 17 months following the shooter and the Fairfax County Commonwealth Attorney said the county attorney and the police chief rosslere withheld information from the case moving forward. Instead, he died of a selfinflicted gunshot. Fremont Police Answered a call for assistance from east Bay Regional Parks police late sunday. They say perez shot at officers and they returned fire. But the coroner says the bullet that killed perez was his own. A setback for a marauding band of dirt bikers in San Francisco. Police have made an arrest. The man had split off from a group of about a dozen motorcyclists sunday trying to flee authorities. But a chp helicopter watched him ditch his bike. Then hide under car at paul avenue and gould. Reporter Highway Patrol found that car ditched by a plaza hotel and swiped a towtruck driver and kept going. 36yearold Allison Huffman was traveling northbound on the Howard Franklin rink bridge this morning as she hit 37yearold on the shoulder.
