The National Weather Service Shall ared winter storm watches and warnings from virginia all the way down to the gulf coast. Parts of the carolinas could be buried under as much as a half a foot of snow. A rare southern winter storm stretching more than 1200 miles is expected to dump snow and ice from southern virginia into south texas.
