British man Joseph James O'Connor, 24, who conspired to hack the social media accounts of celebrities including Joe Biden and Elon Musk, has been jailed for five years.

In what is one of the biggest hacks in social media history, scores of scam messages were pumped out from 130 Twitter accounts, including those of Kim Kardashian and Joe Biden.

A Spanish court has approved the extradition to the US of a British man suspected of hacking the Twitter accounts of celebrities.

Joseph O'Connor faces several charges in connection with the hack of more than 130 Twitter accounts.
