can justify this. >> really incredible reporting there. katie, i know you've reached out to the idf about your investigation and all of your reporting there. you asked them to respond. what did they say to you? >> well, erin, we sent them a full list of all the hospitals we identified as damaged or destroyed. and they said in response the following. quote, they did not conduct any targeted attacks against hospitals in the gaza strip. they also said, quote, any strike which is expected to incidentally damage hospitals is approved by the highest echelon of command. this damage is part of the calculation. it's known in advance and the question is whether it's justifiable. >> of course the crucial question. and also as they talk about the precision which they target all the damage that you're reporting and showing obviously flies in the face of that statement. katie, thank you very much for

considerable precision. reportedly no civilians killed. 5 soldiers killed. >> just a short time ago, president biden said that he has already delivered his message to iran and that they know not to do anything further. do you see any evidence here that iran has been successfully deterred? >> well, i don't see iran taking actions directly. and i think we've seen since the beginning that iran is very happy to see its various proxies engaged. it is happy to fight to the last houthi, for example, or the last lebanese hezbollah fighter, but it does not want to take on the u.s. directly. that would be very serious, of course, and it would have a vastly greater effect on the global economy because it could actually reduce the flow of oil and gas from the gulf. but we see no signs of that so

notable that they put a name on it. that's a guided missile submarine. those ships and submarine platforms firing tomahawk missiles, which are missiles that are fired on to targets on land. again, more than a dozen precision strikes carried out tonight. we do know that the uss eisenhower carrier strike group has been this the region serving as one of the main deterrences by the united states for the past few months. it is unclear tonight, abby, to what extent its assets were used. but it is a formidable group of ships. you can imagine certainly it had some kind of role. the point tonight that the u.s. and this coalition was trying to make was essentially to tell the houthis to knock it off, and to allow commercial shipping that is so vital to the world to continue. the houthis may not be getting that message. they have threatened a response.

and welcome to hannity. we begin tonight with the fox news alert tonight, the united states and the united kingdom conducted precision against the houthi rebels, the terrorists in yemen. now, after months of serious terror attacks, two critical shipping channels in the red sea and iranian missiles fired into israel. the biden administration has finally responded. but will it be enough to deter future attacks? and by the way, what about iran? iran they're basically the backbone of the houthis. they are armed. they train, they offer supplies. they direct the houthi rebels. they're the ones fighting every proxy war that they're involved in. any consequences at all for them. one important reminder tonight, in one of his first acts as president, joe biden removed houthis from the designated terror list. and this very naive and foolish attempt to appease iran is now yet another major blunder for the administration. why joe biden, this obsession of up to the mullahs in iran.

there has been concern throughout the white house as well as the administration of a wider war in the region. that is something they've talked about for a while, but i do feel like this has been a theme throughout the biden presidency of really focus on foreign policy and sort of a juggling act, of balancing the domestic concerns, the polling numbers, frustration among voters with also frequent trips overseas and a focus, including many speeches, of conflicts overseas. i will be watching, if you look at the original foreign policy plan laid out by the administration, there was a focus on avoiding long-term conflicts and more so having precision on competition with things like china, with nations like china. so when moving forward now where you have sort of multiple incidents, multiple conflicts like this, it will be interesting to see how the administration balances this. >> you cover the white house for us every day, mj. what are you hearing from biden officials? i mean obviously they have political antenna and they understand what you were talking about the way we framed the
