most republican members of said nothing about this. that's about as decent as they can get about it. it's the rubio, the rand paul's, the cruises, the hollies, the people of not given up the dream of getting some day those trump voters to vote for them for president. they are out there in this defense of donald trump. what is it like for you as someone who worked a republican party politics at the presidential level? what is it like for you to watch this? >> well, look this is incredibly heartbreaking. i spent years getting and helping people get elected. i actually believed what they said. i believe they thought character was important. that they believed law and order and rule of law was important. i really don't think donald trump change the party i, think donald trump revealed the party. i don't think people abandon deeply held beliefs in in years,
taken by the fbi. he could make that public right now and satisfy the deafening demands by republicans to reveal the purpose of the fbi search warrant. donald trump has chosen to lie about the surge instead, suggesting that the fbi planted evidence, that they will now claim they found their. now that got instantly embraced by the most craven trump supporters like senator rand told and everyone at the fox propaganda channel. donald trump knows what the fbi found. donald trump knows that what they found includes evidence that may be so incriminating to him that he might want to assert the defense at the fbi planted that evidence in his home. donald trump must also know
committees and republicans are going to be hammering it out. we also have speaker of the house paul ryan in wisconsin with vice president pence and hhs secretary tom price. so i think we're going to get more. but yesterday's activity by rand paul, as well by democrats, kind of exposed one of the flaws with house republicans, that they campaigned on and complained about democrats and a lack of transparency in 2010 with the craftsmanship of the health care law. and critics yesterday were saying, well, where is the transparency with this new legislation? >> is there a secret room? >> apparently there was and there have been some reports, chris, about there are starting to be some details that are coming out. but, again, we're going to get more and hopefully a more transparent process starting next week. >> mark murray, as alway get to see you. have a great weekend. >> you, too. >> and coming up, an unlike lly

how does this bush plan compare to the other plans putla out there, rubio's, rand paul's and chris christie's? >> it looks like you get the most growth per dollar of tax cut from them bsh plan. although you're definitely -- let's talk about rubio. you get awe lot of growth out of that but a it costs the governmt a lot. >> rubio would cut the dividend and capital gains further. >> you get good growth parts of the rubio plan in terms of allowing more business investment. but you spend a lot of money. spend in washington terms on tax credits foror families that don give you a lot of growth. so that would be the draw back. on the rand paul flas tax, the similar listy is great. it's a big tax on business to get thatx. simplicity. >> thanks very much. we'll have a lot more to talk about taxes as the campaign goes along.it we have to take one more break.
