The Queen, wearing a black mask, cut a lonely and forlorn figure sitting alone by Prince Philip’s coffin for his funeral in St George’s Chapel in Windsor on Saturday.
She is not normally given to public displays of emotion but as she arrived in a Bentley, the Queen was seen brushing away a tear.

How India's family-run business empires battle over their billions

India's big industrialist families usually make the news for their billion-dollar deals and high-profile acquisitions, but every now and then they grab the headlines for an entirely different reason: The battles over their billions. Last month saw the culmination of one of India's ugliest courtroom dramas that pitted billionaire industrialist Ratan Tata, 83, against his relative and former protege Cyrus...
Blog: 'Rohit4Rhinos' - does celebrity support for animals really work? | Opinion
Source: Rohit Sharma Twitter
The captain of the Mumbai Indians, Rohit Sharma, sported a unique design on his IPL cricket shoes in the inaugural match of the tournament against RCB.
The art on Sharma's spikes made a bold statement, literally calling out to "Save The Rhino". Though to be honest, despite watching the entire match, I did not notice the special themed shoes. And I can be pretty sure that most others too did not actually figure that there was special messaging on Rohit Sharma’s shoes to save the 'vulnerable' species from extinction. I caught the news only the next day when some newspapers carried the story.

From an anti-industry movement that catapulted Mamata Banerjee to power, Singur has come to symbolise new aspiration in Bengal
Fourteen years after he spearheaded the movement against land acquisition for Tatas’ small car plant in Singur, 90-year-old Rabindranath Bhattacharjee – once considered Mamata Banerjee’s lieutenant – now, BJP’s MLA aspirant in the region is batting for industry and jobs.
Clad in white kurta, dhoti and slippers, the man – the oldest person in Bengal’s electoral politics this year – says his former party “frittered away a people’s mandate” to become a “den of corruption”. Today’s need of the hour, in Singur and elsewhere, is jobs and industrialisation, something that he alleges is the least of priorities for the Trinamool Congress.

Amit Shah holds road show in Singur, assures industrialisation | India News

SINGUR: Union Home Minister Amit Shah held a colourful road show here on Wednesday, once a hot spot of the anti-land acquisition movement, and promised rapid industrialisation of the area if BJP is voted to power.
The symbolism of the home minister holding a road show in Singur, three days after Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a rally there and alleged the "obstructionist mindset" of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee deprived West Bengal of industries and jobs, was clear--the BJP wants to corner her over the state's dwindling industrial base and alleged job loss.
Lustily cheered by crowds, Shah stood atop a decorated vehicle with BJP candidate for the Singur seat Rabindranath Bhattacharya, who recently joined the saffron party after leaving the Trinamool Congress, and smilingly waved at people standing by the roadside and on terraces and balconies.
